Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to deliver high standards of nursing care that are safe, patient-centered, and cost-effective.
Our Purpose:
Provide the best individualised specialist care for each patient, focusing on each specialty and using patient outcome data for evidence-based treatments.
Key Accountabilities:
Clinical
- Provide evidence-based nursing care to patients and their families.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
- Report issues identified by patients or their relatives promptly.
- Document all nursing care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Follow individual care plans and supervise meals as per care plans.
- Perform Naso-gastric tube insertion and administer meal replacement plans with training.
- Conduct phlebotomy for patients after competency assessment.
- Ensure high standards of infection control and prevent healthcare-associated infections.
- Administer drugs and medications according to local policies and procedures.
- Report significant nursing issues to senior nurses.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, guidelines, and work instructions related to nursing.
- Maintain effective working relationships with hospital colleagues and consultants.
- Uphold a standard of confidentiality in handling patient information.
- Ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Children Act as applicable.
Support
- Complete the Immediate Life Support course annually.
- Maintain personal continuing professional development (CPD) for NMC registration.
- Attend mandatory training and stay current on nursing and service developments.
- Attend organisational meetings and functions as required.
- Check equipment regularly and report non-conformities promptly.
- Manage personal workload efficiently.
- Adhere to clinical revenue systems and support income generation efforts.
- Participate in supervision and appraisals as appropriate.
Administrative
- Complete required activity figures.
- Maintain high-standard records and notes for all service users.

Educational Qualifications
- Registered nurse
- Mentorship course
- Specific training Skills
Knowledge required
- Up-to-date skills and knowledge in current nursing practice
- Ability to manage a personal caseload
Experience
- Post-registration experience
- Experience within a surgical setting
- Understanding of ongoing professional development requirements
- Good communication skills - Verbal & written
- Sound interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer care skills
- Understanding of private medicine and relevant legislative frameworks
- Knowledge of clinical governance
- Knowledge of care standards & the role of the CQC
