Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated Senior Staff Nurse to join our client's team at a hospital in Westminster. The hospital, renowned for its commitment to excellence in women and children's healthcare, offers a unique opportunity to work within a Neurorehabilitation and Complex Care Inpatient Ward rated "Good" by the CQC.

The Role:

As a Senior Staff Nurse in our Paediatric Neurorehabilitation and Complex Care Inpatient Ward, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of the department. You will utilise your expertise to mentor junior nurses, providing guidance and support while also assuming leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Sister/Charge nurse. Your responsibilities will encompass diverse tasks, from crafting holistic care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to engaging in quality improvement initiatives and audits. Key Requirements:

  • NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support
  • Prior experience in Paediatric Neurorehabilitation and complex care
  • Desirable experience with tracheostomised patients
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding issues
  • Proven teaching and mentoring abilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong clinical governance background with audit experience
  • Preferable experience in supervising, assessing students, and shift leading
