Join our client's dynamic team committed to making a difference in healthcare. We're seeking a Senior Staff Nurse to join our client's team at a Nursing Home. Situated in the Parish of St Peter, within a rural setting, the home provides patient-centered care for 24 residents and is an integral part of the Intermediate Care Group, Health and Community Services.

As a Registered General Nurse with a minimum of two years post-registration experience, you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to older adults with diverse needs. You'll exemplify evidence-based practice and compassionate patient-centred care, adhering to the highest standards outlined by the Jersey Care Commission and Independent Regulators.

Job Purpose:

In this role, you'll operate across various clinical areas within acute and community services. Your responsibilities include planning and delivering effective patient care, collaborating with colleagues, and supervising Healthcare Assistants to ensure optimal care standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain adherence to the NMC Code (2015) and stay updated on clinical best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of a therapeutic care environment.
  • Coordinate patient care plans to achieve treatment goals and uphold quality care standards.
  • Enhance nursing practice through evidence-based research and clinical audit participation.
  • Provide guidance to colleagues, patients, and families, acting as a health promoter.
  • Ensure safeguarding and welfare of all individuals under care.
  • Demonstrate leadership, effective team collaboration, and continuous professional development.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

  • Essential: 1st Level Registered Nurse with NMC Registration
  • Desirable: Level 2 vocational award in health and social care, Teaching and Mentorship qualification

Knowledge:

  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in general nursing.
  • Thorough understanding of NMC Code (2015).

Technical Work Based Skills:

  • Desirable: Ability to manage risks and complaints.
  • General skills/attributes: Excellent communication, teamwork, and basic keyboard skills.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in general nursing.
