Sanctuary Personnel are currently seeking Registered Nurses or Paramedics to join our client's rapidly expanding, specialised Hospice at Home Team at a respected hospice in Peterborough.

Our Hospice at Home service is dedicated to supporting palliative patients and their families in the comfort of their own homes. Our skilled team provides nursing care, advises on symptom management, and offers emotional support.

In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, reassessing, and prescribing care for patients in need of end-of-life/palliative care. Assessments will be conducted both face-to-face and over the phone. Additionally, you will support our team of senior nursing assistants in the community and coordinate activities in the absence of the Clinical Team Leader.

To join our team, you'll need:

  • Registration as a Nurse or Paramedic, with preference given to candidates with experience in palliative care and community nursing (though other areas will be considered)
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to respond to unscheduled acute care as needed
  • Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload, including appropriate triaging
  • Familiarity with SystemOne software is advantageous

You should possess expertise and skills in:

  • Managing long-term conditions/palliative care, including assessment and management
  • Leading clinical practice development within your client group
  • Communicating sensitive information to service users and their families
  • Negotiation and conflict management
  • Providing clinical teaching and mentorship
  • Effectively managing change
  • As this role primarily involves community-based work, applicants must have their own transportation (mileage reimbursed) and a valid UK driver's licence.
