Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our client's team, providing exceptional personalised nursing care for our service users. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in leading our care team to deliver high-quality support to service users and their families.

Key Relationships:

  • Line management responsibility for Healthcare Assistants
  • Collaborating with the nursing team and the wider multi-disciplinary team
  • Taking charge of shifts in the absence of a Senior Nurse/Team Leader
  • Working alongside and supporting volunteers within the team
  • Representing the service at internal and external meetings
  • Maintaining effective communication with all departments

Complexity and Accountability:

  • Using initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Taking charge of the clinical area in the absence of the Senior Nurse
  • Demonstrating effective coping strategies in a stressful environment
  • Participating in care audits and research activities
  • Maintaining responsibility for equipment, resources, and stock control

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support, leadership, recognition, and supervision to team members
  • Demonstrating activities to new or less experienced colleagues
  • Supporting education, training, and guidance to carers, colleagues, and students
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualised clinical care
  • Using evidence-based practice to improve service users' care
  • Organising admissions, discharges, and maintaining records
  • Ensuring service user participation in care planning
  • Managing service users' care during shifts and liaising with medical and nursing colleagues
  • Adhering to all policies and procedures
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and confidentiality

Qualifications Required:

  • NMC Registered Nurse
  • Completion of NMC Standards for Student Supervision and/or Assessment or willingness to complete training
  • Evidence of continued professional development

Experience, Skills, and Ability:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of current legislation within the independent care sector
  • Experience in neurological or palliative care is desirable
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Competent in implementing and monitoring clinical standards
  • Demonstrable leadership and supervision skills
  • Competent IT skills
