Sanctuary Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our client's dynamic team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high standards of personalised nursing care to our service users while leading the care team to ensure the best quality care and support.

Key Relationships:

  • Line management responsibility for Healthcare Assistants
  • Collaborating with the nursing team and wider multi-disciplinary team
  • Taking charge of shifts in the absence of a Senior Nurse/Team Leader
  • Working alongside and/or supporting volunteers
  • Representing the service at internal and external meetings
  • Maintaining communication with all relevant departments

Complexity and Accountability:

  • Using initiative and participating in change
  • Taking charge of the clinical area in the absence of the Senior Nurse
  • Demonstrating effective coping strategies in a stressful environment
  • Assisting with care audit programmes and maintaining quality standards
  • Personal duty of care in relation to equipment and resources
  • Maintaining stock control and acting as an authorised signatory

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support, leadership, recognition, and supervision to team members
  • Demonstrating activities to new or less experienced colleagues
  • Supporting education, training, and guidance to carers, colleagues, and students
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualised clinical care
  • Using evidence-based practice to develop and maintain high-quality care
  • Organising admission and discharge of service users and maintaining records
  • Ensuring service users' participation in care planning and review
  • Managing service users' care during shifts and communicating with colleagues
  • Acting in accordance with all organisational policies and procedures
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring confidentiality

Qualifications required:

  • NMC Registered Nurse
  • Completion of NMC Standards for Student Supervision and/or Assessment or willingness to undergo training
  • Evidence of continued professional development

Experience, Skills and Ability:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of current legislation within the independent care sector
  • Experience in neurological or palliative care (desirable)
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Competency in implementing and monitoring clinical standards
  • Skills in leadership and supervision
  • Proficient IT Skills
