Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse Team Manager to join a dynamic charity that improves the lives of individuals with brain injuries across the UK. Purpose of the Role

As a Registered Nurse Team Manager, you will oversee a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, ensuring the delivery of high standards of holistic care to service users. You will manage the performance of clinical staff in accordance with organisational policies, encompassing recruitment, induction, development, supervision, appraisal, and discipline.

Key Relationships

  • Line management responsibility for Registered Nurses.
  • Support and work alongside volunteers.
  • Ensure service users and their families are involved in care planning and reviews.
  • Liaise effectively with internal and external departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, support, and supervision to team members.
  • Ensure effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Maintain excellent communication with service users, families, and other departments.
  • Delegate tasks clearly and appropriately, ensuring safe practice and competence.
  • Plan effective duty rotas and provide out-of-hours clinical support.
  • Manage and assess risk within your area of responsibility, protecting staff and service users.
  • Contribute to clinical audits, setting quality standards and monitoring care quality.
  • Support the ongoing development of nursing care and services.

Complexity and Accountability

  • Ensure adequate staff cover and manage the duty rota.
  • Participate in the annual audit programme and contribute to quality improvements.
  • Maintain high standards of care delivery according to NICE guidelines.
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure service user confidentiality.

Qualifications and Experience

  • NMC Registered Nurse with post-registration experience in a clinical setting.
  • Completion of NMC recognised accredited mentor training or willingness to undertake.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and influence a clinical team.
  • Knowledge of current legislation within the independent care sector.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict management abilities.
  • Ability to manage change effectively.
  • Experience in providing teaching and mentorship in a clinical setting.
