Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking experienced and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join a dynamic team in providing exceptional care within a specialised healthcare environment.

About the Role:

This role presents an excellent opportunity for both seasoned professionals and newly qualified Healthcare Assistants to become integral members of a dedicated multidisciplinary team. Successful candidates will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care in the field of mental health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance with personal hygiene, including washing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Undertake tasks such as bed-making and patient mobilisation.
  • Assist with toileting and continence management.
  • Monitor and record patient health indicators, including bowel and urinary function.
  • Support patients in maintaining oral hygiene and grooming.
  • Facilitate patient mobility and exercise routines.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety in accordance with established protocols.
  • Aid in nutritional intake as per care plans.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff in various procedures and tasks.
  • Contribute to pressure sore prevention and management.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A qualification at QQI Level 5 or Fetac 5 in Healthcare Support, Pre-Nursing, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience as a Healthcare Assistant.
  • Preferable background in psychiatric care.
  • Essential competencies in Care Skills and Care Support.
