Job Title: Healthcare Assistant (HCA) - Day Therapy Unit

Salary: £12,226 - £13,642 per annum
Sanctuary Personnel are seeking dedicated individuals to provide high-quality holistic person-centred care and support to individuals accessing our client's services. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients.
Key Relationships:
- This role does not involve line management responsibilities.
- You will work alongside and/or support volunteers within your team.
Complexity and Accountability:
- This position does not entail budgetary responsibilities.
- You will have a personal duty of care regarding equipment and resources, including safeguarding, handling cash, and managing service users' valuables.
- Responsibilities include carrying out personal care duties under close supervision, making judgments in straightforward situations, and providing and receiving routine information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with team members to support clients in their cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and functional recovery.
- Monitoring clients' physical and emotional well-being, communicating changes, and maintaining morale through regular interaction.
- Ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
- Reviewing and suggesting enhancements to improve the client experience, supporting junior staff, and challenging practices when necessary.
- Promoting choice in care delivery, facilitating the expression of concerns and complaints by clients or their representatives.
- Advocating for clients' views and experiences to be considered in service provision.
- Contributing to the safe and efficient operation of the service, maintaining a safe environment, preserving client confidentiality, and occasionally undertaking additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications Required:
- An NVQ and/or QCF Level 2 qualification is highly desirable.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven experience of working within a team.
- Previous care delivery experience is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
- Basic IT skills, including internet usage, email, and word processing.
