Job Overview:

Sanctuary Personnel are seeking motivated individuals to join our client's team at an Acute Assessment Unit (AAU), a pivotal part of their healthcare services. The AAU operates within a fast-paced environment, closely collaborating with the Emergency Department to provide high-quality care to a diverse range of patients.

The successful candidate will contribute to our client's team of Nurses, demonstrating exceptional clinical and communication skills. Acting as a role model, you will support both senior and junior staff members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Flexibility is essential, as you will be required to work various shifts to ensure 24/7 service coverage.

Job Purpose:

This role encompasses diverse clinical areas within acute and community services. You will deliver competent and effective patient care, collaborating with colleagues to ensure continuity in care provision. Additionally, you will supervise Healthcare Assistants, providing guidance and training as necessary.

  • Demonstrate adherence to NMC Code guidelines, building trust with patients and colleagues.
  • Keep abreast of professional developments and contribute to a patient-centric care philosophy.
  • Coordinate care plans to achieve treatment goals and maintain high standards of patient care.

  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and provide leadership when required.

Person Specification:

Qualifications

  • 1st Level Registered Nurse with NMC Registration 
  • Commitment to work towards a level 2 vocational award in health and social care 
  • Teaching and Mentorship qualification 

Knowledge 

  • 2 Years Post qualification experience in general nursing 
  • Thorough knowledge of NMC Code (2015) 

Technical/ Work Based skills 

  • Ability to manage risks and complaints 

General Skills/Attributes 

  • Excellent communication and team working skills 
  • Basic Keyboard skills
