The salary for this permanent Healthcare Assistant job is £31,208.86 - £33,804.56 per annum.
Main Duties:
- Actively engage as a valuable member of the nursing team, collaborating to accomplish team objectives effectively.
- Exhibit comprehensive understanding and application of the Government of Jersey/Support Worker Code (2009) guidelines, fostering trust and credibility with patients, carers, and colleagues.
- Participate in and contribute to the delivery of care for assigned patients or patient groups, meticulously planning and organizing patient activities while considering their physical and social requirements.
- Ensure that activities of daily living align with individual care plans and uphold the established standards of care within the clinical area.
- Adhere to and uphold all Government of Jersey Infection Prevention and Control policies and procedures consistently.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and secure physical environment, promoting health, safety, and security measures in hospital and home settings.
- Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and assist in managing expenditure within the clinical area.
- Demonstrate proficiency in basic keyboard skills and execute all assigned administrative tasks efficiently.
- Actively pursue opportunities for personal and professional development, and participate constructively in the Performance Review and Appraisal process.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe physical environment by understanding and promoting health, safety, and security measures in hospital and home settings.
- Perform designated housekeeping tasks diligently and effectively.
Requirements of the Healthcare Assistant:
- Prior experience in a healthcare environment.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic proficiency in keyboard skills is advantageous.
- Possession of, or willingness to pursue, a Level 2 vocational award in health and social care.
