Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to work full-time based in Hounslow.
The salary for this permanent Senior Occupational Therapist role is £41,850 - £43,860 per annum.
Main Duties:
- Deputise for the Team Manager and represent them on Adult Social Care matters, from time to time in their absence.
- Assist with the efficient and effective management of a team and lead that team within a philosophy of residents taking control and making choices about their own lives to maintain their independence. Ensuring use of universal and preventative services to enable vulnerable residents to take control and make choices about their own lives.
- Support the team to deliver high quality of service, innovative and creative solutions for using personalised budgets and individual personal services for vulnerable residents.
- Support effective and efficient use of staff resources ensure the delivery of assessment and support planning for vulnerable residents using the Council’s policy in relation to assessment & eligibility and financial assessment.
- Provide guidance and support to professionals within the team and act as an exemplar of good Occupational Therapy practice. Be able to apply a robust professional judgement to practice and quality and performance activity. To contribute to the borough’s response to a major incident during normal operational hours
Requirements of the Senior Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist.
- Recent post qualifying experience working as an Occupational Therapist, including experience of working with vulnerable residents in either a statutory or voluntary organisation, working in partnership with the NHS, and managing individuals to achieve significant improvements.
- Knowledge of relevant Social Care legislation and policy, in particular the Care Act.
