Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to work with our client and support individuals with neurological conditions in their journey towards rehabilitation and improved quality of life.

Our client's newly established specialised neurological service in Irchester, opening in April 2024, provides a tranquil environment for rehabilitation. Situated in the serene village of Knuston, Northamptonshire, our service offers spacious accommodation with en-suite facilities, multiple therapy spaces, and access to outdoor leisure areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting neurological assessments, treatment planning, and interventions.
  • Implementing rehabilitation strategies to enhance function and independence in activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Performing cognitive assessments and providing rehabilitation interventions.
  • Utilising therapeutic handling skills to support clients.
  • Assessing environmental and equipment needs, including specialist seating.
  • Identifying ongoing needs while prioritising quality of life.
  • Collaborating with community colleagues to facilitate complex discharge planning.
  • Supervising Occupational Therapy support staff and students.
  • Implementing and developing evidence-based therapeutic activities.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration.
  • Passion for working with individuals with neurological conditions.
  • Proficiency in utilising outcome measures such as FIM/FAM, CRS-R, WHIM, and TOMS.
  • Experience in managing a designated caseload using relevant Occupational Therapy theory.
  • Competence in conducting assessments, planning, implementing evidence-based interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned with care plans.
