The salary for this permanent Senior Occupational Therapist job is £55,293.84 - £60.931.11 per annum.
Main Duties:
- Collaborate within the multidisciplinary team to optimize client treatment, contributing to care decisions.
- Provide support and education to clients' relatives and caregivers.
- Engage in regular self-reflection and performance evaluation.
- Maintain a professional portfolio for continuous development.
- Contribute to service improvement plans for occupational therapy.
- Design and deliver therapy services in consultation with clients and clinical teams.
- Adhere to relevant policies and procedures.
- Prioritise and respond promptly to referrals.
- Promote social inclusion and recovery-based approaches.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and agencies to meet clients' needs.
- Share knowledge between mental and physical health settings.
- Actively participate in safeguarding and training initiatives.
- Support the education of occupational therapy students and staff.
- Engage in personal development reviews and training.
- Adhere to professional codes of conduct.
Requirements of the Senior Occupational Therapist:
- Hold a Professional Qualification (Degree or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Membership with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
- Understanding of the legal responsibilities associated with the profession.
- Awareness of assessing, managing, and preventing risks in the working environment.
- Knowledge of the principles of clinical governance and their practical application.
- Familiarity with practice standards and the Code of Conduct outlined by the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and HCPC standards.
- Specialised knowledge in OT assessment and intervention relevant to the client group.
- Ability to comprehend and operate within organisational policies while meeting the diverse needs of patients.
