Sanctuary Personnel is seeking applications for the role of Senior Occupational Therapist for a permanent full-time position located in Dublin. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to become an integral part of our client's friendly, dynamic, and supportive Multidisciplinary Team, contributing significantly to the field of rehabilitation.

Role Summary:

As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients facing severe and enduring mental illness along with complex needs. This pivotal role involves leading and managing an Occupational Therapy caseload within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment and intervention programmes for patients and residents, aligning with professional standards.
  • Collaborating with patients, families, carers, and fellow staff in setting goals and planning treatments and interventions.
  • Participating closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Maintaining comprehensive clinical records of assessments, interventions, and discussions.
  • Overseeing the practice education of student therapists and supporting teaching/training efforts as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • Hold a degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification, eligible for membership with the AOTI.
  • Three years full-time (or an aggregate of three years) post-qualification clinical experience.
  • Established clinical experience in mental health rehabilitation, serious and enduring mental health conditions, or cognitive rehabilitation in the area of Acquired Brain Injury.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and contribute to the practice education of student therapists.
  • Good knowledge and experience of health, safety, and statutory regulations affecting healthcare organisations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven leadership abilities.
  • Proficient IT skills.
