About Our Client:
Our client is providing a therapy-led level 2 specialist neuro-rehabilitation service and specialist neurological care to residents with a range of neurological conditions. They provide a holistic environment alongside a wide staff skill set, allowing them to optimise clients' health and wellbeing, maximise their independence, and support their emotional and social needs. Their new building provides an excellent working environment, offering the space for well-established group working; currently including breakfast group, upper limb group, and rehab champions group.

Purpose of the role:
Your role will encompass comprehensive assessments and therapy for intricate neurological patients. This involves establishing and revising SMART objectives during both formal and informal sessions, as well as assisting clients, families, and colleagues in achieving these goals. Effective communication of realistic expectations for outcomes is essential to streamline discharge planning efficiently. Active participation in suitable community activities and conducting assessments and home visits throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria to support assessments and gradual discharges are also key aspects of the role.

About You:

  • Hold a degree in Occupational Therapy or an equivalent qualification.
  • Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Provide evidence of relevant postgraduate courses and CPD.
  • Possess substantial experience working in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Demonstrate experience working within a neurological setting / with neurological patients.
  • Demonstrate expertise in evidence-based practice and outcome measures
