Sanctuary Personnel is currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager within the Medical & Healthcare sector, specifically Nursing & Midwifery. This role involves leading a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants in Dublin, Ireland.

The successful candidate will play a vital role within a dedicated Multidisciplinary Team, contributing significantly to psychiatric nurse management. They should be dynamic, energetic, and possess a minimum of two years' experience as a Clinical Nurse Manager in mental health. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Mental Health Commission requirements, leadership principles, and governance practices.

About the Organisation:

The facility provides a wide range of neuropsychiatric services to adults with various mental health needs, including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Huntington's Diseases, along with early onset dementias, schizophrenia, and mood disorders. Specialised care for Huntington's disease and palliative care for individuals with mental health needs is also offered. Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic and operational development, coordination, and management in line with national and regulatory standards.
  • Ensuring delivery of nursing services to the highest treatment and care standards, prioritising safety.
  • Compliance with regulatory programs, including Health & Safety and Risk Management standards.
  • Leading operational change programs within the nursing service.
  • Collaboration with residents, families, caregivers, and staff in goal setting and care planning.
  • Participation in multi-disciplinary/healthcare teams, fostering cooperation and collaboration.
  • Ensuring all practices, procedures, and policies align with organisational service and strategic plans.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Registered Psychiatric Nurse (with An Bord Altranais/NMBI or eligibility to register).
  • Minimum five years post-qualification experience, with at least two years in mental health.
  • Proficient in clinical, managerial, leadership, and administrative competencies.
  • In-depth understanding of Mental Health Commission requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience of health, safety, and statutory regulations affecting healthcare organisations.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Ability to respond to and manage medical and psychiatric emergencies.
