Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join our client's team, responsible for delivering exceptional standards of nursing care. Key Responsibilities:

Clinical:

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients and their families.
  • Advocate for patients, safeguarding their privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
  • Promptly address issues raised by patients or relatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care and patient experiences.
  • Implement individual care plans effectively, including meal supervision.
  • Demonstrate competency in procedures such as naso-gastric tube insertion and phlebotomy.
  • Uphold rigorous infection control standards.
  • Administer medications following local policies.
  • Report significant nursing concerns to senior staff.
  • Adhere to all nursing-related policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with colleagues and consultants.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare legislation.

Support:

  • Complete Immediate Life Support training annually.
  • Undertake continuing professional development to meet NMC registration requirements.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions and maintain awareness of nursing developments.
  • Participate in organisational meetings and functions as necessary.
  • Ensure regular equipment checks and report any issues promptly.
  • Manage workload efficiently and use resources effectively.
  • Adhere to clinical revenue systems and support income generation efforts.
  • Engage in supervision and appraisals as required.

Administrative:

  • Maintain accurate activity records as per organisational requirements.
  • Ensure high-quality record-keeping for all service users.
  • Fulfil additional tasks as reasonably expected within the role scope.

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • Registered nurse qualification.
  • Completion of mentorship course.
  • Minimum one year of post-registration experience.
  • Experience in a surgical setting.
  • Up-to-date skills and knowledge in nursing practice.
  • Ability to manage a personal caseload.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of professional development requirements.
  • Familiarity with private medicine and relevant legislative frameworks.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance and care standards.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and adaptable.
