The salary for this permanent Staff Nurse (Mental Health or Learning Disability) job is £34,900- £37,227 per annum + £5,000 welcome bonus!

Job Purpose:

As a Registered Nurse you provide direct personal care and interventions to Patients/Service Users, without direct supervision, and co-ordinate the care given by colleagues. The post holder will deliver high quality, safe nursing care, ensuring consistently high standards of practice and clinical excellence which comply with the Nursing and Midwifery (NMC) Code.

Requirements of the Staff Nurse:

  • Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as either a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or a Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities (RNLD).
  • Demonstrated minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health services.
  • Documentation of ongoing professional development following registration.
  • Exhibit a proactive and positive demeanor, dedicated to fostering improvement and maintaining high standards.
  • Excellent team working skills, a high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach - our units operate 24 hours 7 days a week, and our nursing staff work shift patterns including weekends, bank holidays and nights
  • Familiarity with NMC standards, guidelines, and professional protocols.
  • Understanding of the Mental Health Act and adherence to its Code of Practice.
