Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking an experienced Registered Psychiatric Nurse with Psychiatric experience, or a Nurse registered with Dual Pins (Mental Health and General Nurse) for a permanent, full-time position in Dublin, Ireland.

Responsibilities:

  • Practice nursing in accordance with professional standards set by An Bord Altranais/NMBI and organisational policies.
  • Ensure safe administration and recording of medications, tailored to patients' individual needs.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to coordinate patient care effectively.
  • Participate in clinical induction, teaching, and educational initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to nursing management structures.
  • Assume management responsibilities in the absence of the clinical nurse manager.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately and contribute to team-based patient care.
  • Demonstrate commitment to professional development and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Advocate for patients and families, ensuring they are well-informed about their care needs.
  • Contribute to setting professional standards and participate in care delivery audits.
  • Assist in rostering nursing and support staff to optimise resource utilisation.

Requirements:

  • Registered Psychiatric Nurse (with An Bord Altranais/NMBI or eligibility for registration).
  • Post-registration experience in adult mental health or rehabilitation services.
  • Clinical expertise in mental health rehabilitation and serious enduring mental health conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of Mental Health Commission requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse clinical team and uphold clinical governance principles.
  • Experience in leading, teaching, and managing others, including student nurses and healthcare staff.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and statutory regulations affecting healthcare organisations.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
