Job Title: Surgical Staff Nurse
Location: Cambridge
Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, shift-based, covering days, nights, and weekends
Salary: £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
An exciting opportunity awaits a Staff Nurse to join a close-knit and friendly team in Cambridge. The role involves covering day and night shifts throughout the week, offering a diverse experience in general surgery, including Orthopaedic, Urology, Bariatric surgery, Plastic surgery, ENT, and Ophthalmology.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing patient health and well-being across a varied caseload
- Assisting in delivering patient care to meet individual needs
- Promoting best practices and contributing to quality improvements
- Collecting, collating, and organising data for informed decision-making
Shifts:
- 12-hour shifts, Monday - Sunday, alternating between 07:00 am - 19:30 pm and 19:00 pm - 07:30 am
Requirements:
- NMC registered with no restrictions or conditions
- Minimum 1 year of surgical or A&E experience in a hospital setting
- Ability to work effectively in teams with minimal supervision
- Registered Nurse with competence across a range of skills, backed by professional knowledge and clinical training
