Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse for a reputable hospital in Cambridge, offering a competitive Band 5 equivalent salary based on experience. This is a full-time position, encompassing shifts covering days, nights, and weekends.

Located in Cambridge, our client's hospital presents an exciting opportunity for a Staff Nurse to become an integral part of their cohesive and supportive team. The role involves providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including Orthopaedic, Urology, Bariatric surgery, Plastic surgery, ENT, and Ophthalmology.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care to patients recovering from diverse surgical interventions.
  • Collaborate with experienced nursing colleagues to maintain exceptional standards of patient satisfaction.
  • Actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practice guidelines.
  • Make informed discharge decisions in collaboration with the consultant team.
  • Liaise effectively with other hospital departments to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Monitor patients for any significant changes in their health status and promptly report concerns.
  • Continuously develop your own skills and knowledge while supporting others in their professional growth.
  • Champion health, safety, and security best practices within the surgical ward.

Requirements:

  • Valid NMC registration without restrictions or conditions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in team settings with minimal supervision.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in surgical or A&E settings within a hospital environment.
  • Registered Nurse status with competence across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration and additional training.
