We are seeking a Lead Practice Nurse to join our esteemed Primary Care Team situated in Central London. Working under the guidance of the Head of Nursing, you will be stationed in prestigious locales, ensuring ample time for compassionate patient care.

As the Lead Practice Nurse, you will oversee the support, delivery, and clinical excellence of our nursing service. Your duties will encompass conducting clinics, providing clinical supervision to team members, and managing your own clinical caseload within a primary care setting. Collaborating closely with GPs, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare professionals, you'll handle patient needs efficiently, with referrals to GPs as necessary.

Additionally, in the absence of the Head of Nursing, you will assume delegated responsibilities such as providing guidance, conducting appraisals and one-to-ones, and contributing to special projects.

We prioritise your professional and personal well-being. We are committed to supporting your career growth, just as you are dedicated to the well-being of others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement care plans in accordance with professional protocols and guidelines, including prescribing non-prescription drugs following PGDs (Patient Group Directions), such as travel health and family planning.

  • Efficiently plan and organise your workload on a daily and long-term basis.

  • Provide treatment services for employees with minor injuries and illnesses, facilitating referrals to appropriate healthcare services.

  • Actively participate in the Infection Control team.

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and protocols, while staying updated with quality systems, standards, and guidelines.

  • Maintain high standards of communication with patients and the clinical team, ensuring professional record-keeping and confidentiality.

  • Monitor and maintain the quality of work within your area of responsibility.

  • Support the Head of Nursing with primary care audits, staff training and development, and other related tasks.

  • Oversee training of the Nursing Team, ensuring compliance with mandatory clinical training and competencies.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Excellent customer care skills.

  • Strong team player with a flexible attitude.

  • Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Proactive and approachable with a positive "can do" attitude.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Understanding of private patient requirements within a fast-paced business environment.

  • Knowledge of clinical governance and safeguarding practices.

  • RGN (Registered General Nurse) with current NMC Registration.

  • MSC in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent.

  • Completion of STIP course or equivalent.

  • Experience working with PGDs.
