Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Head of Clinical Services for a prominent healthcare charity operating in Lancashire. This charity is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with brain injuries across the UK. Their facilities, including assessment centers, rehabilitation units, and hospitals, employ expert neurorehabilitation techniques to aid individuals in regaining lost skills and achieving personal goals.

Role Overview:

The Head of Clinical Services will oversee the quality and standards of care delivery within the service, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies such as the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Responsibilities include managing care services within budgetary constraints, fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and leading the clinical team in delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the budget for care provision, ensuring effective resource utilisation and expenditure control.
  • Identify and manage risks affecting care, experience, or safety.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant care standards, environmental standards, and health and safety requirements.
  • Provide leadership within the multidisciplinary team and deputise for the Service Director when necessary.
  • Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives and participate in service development projects.
  • Maintain strong staff engagement and support, ensuring effective rostering and out-of-hours support.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to support organisational strategy and service development.

About You:

  • Registered Nurse with relevant management qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive post-registration experience in healthcare, with demonstrable management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, demonstrate initiative, and prioritise competing demands effectively.
  • Experience in quality governance, including clinical audit, risk management, and complaints handling.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills.
  • Willingness to work outside normal hours and travel occasionally within the UK.
