As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Spinal Surgery, you will play a pivotal role in delivering holistic and evidence-based care along the Spinal Surgery pathway. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will also have the autonomy to oversee patient care independently. Your responsibilities will include advocating for patients, providing specialist nursing advice, offering emotional support, and driving service development and staff education. Your qualifications and experience should include:

  • RN Child or RSCN qualification with valid NMC registration
  • Minimum of 5 years' post-registration experience in Children's nursing
  • First degree in nursing or a related health field
  • Relevant specialist qualification with at least 12 months of experience
  • Mentorship qualification
  • Basic/Intermediate Paediatric Life Support certification
  • Experience in audit and research relevant to your specialism
  • Knowledge of safeguarding processes, with an up-to-date level 3 Safeguarding qualification
  • Understanding of clinical governance and risk management
