The hospital is distinguished as the sole independent hospital in the UK exclusively dedicated to women and children, currently rated as “Good” by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Duties:
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Orthopaedics, you will utilise your expertise to deliver comprehensive and evidence-based care across the Orthopaedic pathway. Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, you will also exercise autonomy in overseeing the patient journey. Acting as a patient advocate, you will provide specialised nursing guidance and emotional support throughout their treatment journey, while actively contributing to service enhancement and staff education initiatives. Key Requirements:
- Registered Nurse qualification in Child Nursing (RN Child) or Registered Sick Children's Nurse (RSCN) with valid NMC registration
- Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience in Children’s nursing
- First-degree qualification in nursing or a related healthcare field
- Relevant qualification in the specialist area with a minimum of 12 months of experience
- Mentorship qualification
- Basic/Intermediate Paediatric Life Support certification
- Experience in conducting audits and research pertinent to the specialism
- Proficiency in safeguarding processes, with an up-to-date Level 3 Safeguarding qualification
- Familiarity with clinical governance and risk management practices
