Job Description:

Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Tissue Viability to join our client's esteemed paediatric team. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing expert knowledge, advice, and clinical expertise in the treatment and management of children and young people with skin conditions and birthmarks. You will also oversee the tissue viability service for paediatric patients within their institution.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and support to nursing teams involved in the care of infants, children, and young people with skin conditions and tissue viability needs.
  • Coordinate all aspects of patient care, prioritising the well-being of the child and their family.
  • Act as an advocate for every child and young person undergoing investigations or procedures for laser and dermatology treatment.
  • Develop and implement patient clinical pathways, collaborating with the multi-professional team.
  • Take a lead role in training, educating, and developing the nursing team in laser, dermatology, and tissue viability care.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards for the laser, dermatology, and tissue viability service.

Skills & Experience:

  • Registered Nurse with a Children’s Nursing Qualification (RN Child or RSCN) and valid NMC registration.
  • Extensive post-registration experience in children's nursing.
  • Relevant qualification and substantial experience in tissue viability.
  • Mentorship qualification.
  • Basic/Intermediate Paediatric Life Support certification.
  • Level 3 Safeguarding qualification.
