We have an exceptional opportunity for a proficient Ward Manager to join a dynamic Surgical team on a permanent basis, based in Solihull.

In this role, you will oversee the multi-disciplinary surgical ward, working with diverse specialisms such as Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Urology, and more. You'll have the chance to enhance your clinical skills within a modern and supportive environment. We prioritise comprehensive induction for all staff to ensure a smooth transition and support your success in the role. Working alongside experienced Consultants, you'll cover a varied caseload, facilitating continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team, comprising clinical and non-clinical staff, to deliver top-notch care, safety, and service to patients and stakeholders.
  • Provide high-caliber clinical leadership to maintain exceptional nursing standards consistently.
  • Foster a conducive work culture emphasising health, safety, security, and infection control.
  • Drive knowledge enhancement, idea generation, and workflow optimisation among team members.
  • Plan, allocate, assess, and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Requirements:

  • Current NMC registration without restrictions.
  • Experience in Surgical/HDU/ERU settings.
  • Strong management background, demonstrating the ability to lead teams and enhance nursing services.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a focus on maintaining gold-standard patient care.
