Responsibilities:

As an ICU Senior Staff Nurse, you will be tasked with:

  • Delivering direct nursing care to patients requiring level 2&3 care in alignment with established policies, procedures, and protocols of CCL.
  • Prioritizing nursing care, promptly identifying patient deterioration, and escalating concerns to the senior nursing team/clinicians.
  • Acting as the primary coordinator for ensuring well-coordinated patient care.
  • Assessing and coordinating patients' discharge planning needs in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Taking the lead in guiding the nursing team to provide patient care, collaborating with various disciplines to achieve planned and expected outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Active nursing registration (First Level) with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and no restrictions.
  • Eagerness to engage in pertinent post-registration courses.
  • Demonstrable clinical expertise in the care of high-acuity critically-ill adults within a hospital setting.
  • Extensive experience in critical care specialties, encompassing cardiac and cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, renal, and GI surgery.
  • Successful completion of the Step 1 Critical Care Competencies Course.
