Salary: £52,932 - £62,975 per annum (with a potential to reach up to £65,112 - £69,605 per annum through BAR)

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide specialised pain management services to patients with acute, sub-acute, and chronic pain conditions. This role is based within the beautiful surroundings of Guernsey. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Pain Management, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of comprehensive, effective, and personalised pain relief interventions tailored to individual patient needs.

This is a Band 7 position with the potential for progression to Band 8a based on the attainment of requisite competencies and subject to funding availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert pain management interventions to patients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate pain management strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of pain management policies and protocols.

Requirements:

  • First Level Registration with least 3 years clinical experience which includes working with patients with acute/persistent pain
  • Evidence of post registration education and personal development
  • Evidence of clinical examination skills and diagnostics
  • Experience of teaching at both pre and postregistration levels e.g ENB 998
  • Evidence of clinical audit practice, implementation of findings and review of outcomes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to innovate and initiate change
  • Ability to work autonomously, solve problems and make decisions based on knowledge and judgement
  • Ability to contribute to collaborative decision making about patient care
  • Evidence of good leadership skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Aptitude for working under pressure
  • Flexible approach towards role and working hours.
