Job Title: Clinical Specialist Mammographer
Location: St John's Wood
Type: Permanent
Shift Pattern: Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday between the hours of 08:00 am - 18:00 pm. 
Salary: Up to £54,500 per annum (dependent upon experience) + for a limited time, we are also offering a 10% welcome bonus for applicants not already known to the business.

Sanctuary Personnel seeking a Clinical Specialist Mammographer to join our client's Breast Unit service at a hospital situated in London. 

The Mammography Department takes pride in delivering a robust service to screening and symptomatic clinic patients. Equipped with state-of-the-art breast imaging technology from Hologic, their highly skilled team of mammographers collaborates closely with leading consultant breast radiologists to ensure a five-star patient experience.

The hospital, boasting over 260 beds and a staff of 1000, is renowned for its excellence in complex healthcare, serving patients from both the UK and abroad for over four decades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality control functions pertaining to mammography.
  • Manage administrative duties for the Mammography service under the guidance of the Superintendent Mammographer and imaging manager.
  • Proficiently utilise the PACS and DR/CR system.
  • Be flexible to work at either the main Hospital department or satellite departments as needed.
  • Participate in the rotation of Mammographers to associated sites if required.
  • Assist in symptomatic breast clinics and vacuum-assisted biopsies as necessary, collaborating closely with radiologists to provide imaging and diagnostic services to breast unit patients.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration
  • Relevant postgraduate experience with a post DCR in Mammography
  • Familiarity with mammography processes and procedures
  • Previous experience with Hologic equipment (desirable)
  • Radiation Protection Supervisor certification (desirable)
