Sanctuary Personnel is currently recruiting for a full-time Reporting Sonographer position in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Consideration will also be given to candidates interested in bank staff and/or part-time roles as a Sonographer, Radiographer, and/or Mammographer.

Our client, a leading provider of private medical services to individuals and corporations, prioritises patient-operator interaction and maintains high service standards.

The role, situated within the Imaging Department, primarily entails Reporting Sonographer responsibilities (essential) and Radiographer duties (plain X-ray) as a desirable skill.

Applicants should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • HCPC Registration
  • Proficiency in various imaging procedures and knowledge of appropriate image sharing and storage methods
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain professional relationships
  • Dedication to providing excellent patient care
  • Familiarity with RIS and PACS systems
  • Experience and qualifications in ultrasound reporting
  • Motivated, patient-focused, with strong communication abilities
  • Capacity to manage workload independently
  • Competency and experience in performing abdominal, pelvic, gynecological, KUB, and obstetric ultrasounds as a minimum requirement

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness of ultrasound and X-ray equipment after each procedure
  • Conducting routine equipment checks and arranging maintenance schedules
  • Performing ultrasound procedures, including patient explanation, image capture, and report writing
  • Undertaking X-ray examinations efficiently and ensuring patient and staff safety
  • Evaluating image quality and interpreting findings, communicating with the healthcare team as needed
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and administrative documentation
  • Liaising with the team and patients regarding appointments, results, and follow-up
  • Managing patient flows and workflows, adhering to internal policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with Clinical Engineering for equipment maintenance and resolution of malfunctions
  • Participating in professional development activities and annual audits

The position offers Monday to Friday hours with no evening shifts. Bank or part-time hours outside regular office hours may be considered.
