About the Role:
Are you eager to embark on a rewarding journey filled with diverse experiences? Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a proficient Learning Disability Nurse, Children’s Nurse, or Mental Health Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team. As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will conduct assessments and manage a caseload of patients within our secure facility. Your role will encompass providing holistic care to individuals with complex needs.
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing a caseload of patients with diagnosed Learning Disabilities or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Conducting initial assessments, devising care plans, and implementing follow-up procedures.
- Participating in processes designed to support patients at risk of self-harm or suicide, adhering to NICE Guidance.
- Attending monthly supervision sessions and completing annual performance assessments to evaluate targets and learning objectives.
- Providing compassionate support to patients, utilising exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with resilience.
- Delivering training and guidance to staff members on the care of patients with Learning Disabilities.
- Collaborating with the team to organise awareness days and workshops, contributing to the enhancement of our services.
- Participating in weekly Integrated Mental Health Team Referrals meetings to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
- Part 1 NMC registration.
- A 5-year history of residence in the UK.
Desirable:
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Previous experience in a secure environment.
- Degree-level qualification or higher.
- Experience in driving innovation or change initiatives.
- Nurse Prescriber qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering value-for-money services.
- Possession of a valid driving license.
