Role Overview:
The Senior Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering high standards of holistic care and service to patients by providing safe haemodialysis treatment according to prescriptions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high standard of individualised care while promoting patient-focused care.
- Mentor and assist team members.
- Provide safe haemodialysis treatment in line with patient prescriptions.
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team and with external organisations and hospital trusts.
- Promote and demonstrate effective communication with patients, users, and service providers at all times.
- Adhere to company procedures, guidelines, and policies, and assist in their implementation and review.
- Continuously develop knowledge and skills relevant to delivering a high standard of care to renal patients.
- Demonstrate a commitment to evidence-based practice and assist in evaluating evidence to improve and develop patient care.
Person Specification:
- NMC Registered Nurse
- Renal nursing experience is desirable
- Good communication skills
- Flexible and able to adapt to change
- Good interpersonal skills, friendly and outgoing
- Able to work effectively within a team
