Position Overview:

Sanctuary Personnel are currently seeking an experienced Senior Radiographer to join our client's General Radiography department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive radiography services, covering CT, MRI, Theatre, Fluoroscopy, General X-Ray, and DEXA. This position presents an exciting opportunity to work within a cutting-edge healthcare facility, catering to a diverse patient base. Additionally, there is the potential for cross-training in MRI or CT for candidates with expertise in either modality.

About Us:

We are a well-established acute hospital with 56 beds, specialising in Colorectal, Urology, Orthopaedics, Men’s Health, and Women’s Health. Our dedicated team prioritises providing excellent care and being a centre of excellence for various surgical procedures and treatments. As part of our team, you will contribute to the care of a broad spectrum of surgical patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a range of radiographic examinations, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety across MRI, CT, Theatre, Fluoroscopy, DEXA, and General Radiography.
  • Efficiently carry out patient examinations, developing and implementing care plans as necessary.
  • Provide expert clinical advice and support to patients and their families throughout the imaging process.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver integrated patient care and contribute to the development of new imaging protocols and techniques.

Cross-Training Opportunity:

  • Qualified candidates proficient in either CT or MRI will have the chance to undergo training in the alternate modality, broadening their skill set and career prospects.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Radiographer, with emphasis on MRI and/or CT, Theatre, Fluoroscopy, General X-Ray & DEXA.
  • Proficiency in MRI and/or CT equipment operation, with a thorough understanding of imaging principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and flexibility regarding on-call duties and working hours.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Siemens imaging equipment.
  • Familiarity with clinical audit and QA programmes.
  • IV Cannulation Certificate.
