Sanctuary Personnel are currently seeking a skilled Imaging Technologist to join our client's dynamic team at a prominent healthcare facility. As an Imaging Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and timely diagnosis of patients through the production and evaluation of diagnostic images. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out physicians' requisitions, producing, and evaluating images to ensure diagnostic clarity and identify potential pathology.
- Communicating any deviations from quality control norms to relevant personnel, such as the Imaging Resource Technologist, Senior Imaging Technologist, or Radiologist/Cardiologist.
- Operating and maintaining Imaging and Imaging support equipment in a safe and efficient manner, including laser printers and PACS systems.
- Transporting and utilising portable equipment in various hospital areas to perform imaging procedures while adhering to critical care area policies, sterile techniques, and anesthesia safety precautions.
- Taking responsibility for continuous professional development by participating in educational programs to maintain competencies.
- Practicing radiation safety and infection control techniques rigorously at all times.
- Potentially rotating through different imaging modalities such as Radiology, CAT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, and Bone Density to gain experience and specialised credentials.
Qualifications and Registration Requirements:
- Hold an undergraduate degree in Medical Imaging or Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution.
- Registration/certification from an accredited program in one or more of the following areas: Radiology, CAT scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, and Bone Density.
- Preferably, possess a minimum of two (2) years of post-graduate experience.
- Registration with the Allied Health Professions Council is mandatory.
- Current ARRT/CAMRT/DCRR or equivalent certification is required.
- Additionally, for the position of Level 2 Imaging Technologist, candidates must hold Level 1 certification and have one (1) or more certifications in the applicable Primary and/or Post Primary Pathways, such as Mammography, CAT Scan, or Bone Densitometry.
