We are currently seeking an experienced Imaging/Radiology Manager to lead the team in our Imaging Department.

The Imaging Manager will oversee the provision of imaging services to patients in accordance with clinical referral criteria and protocols, along with managing a diagnostic referral service for medical professionals.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Oversee the radiology service, ensuring adherence to key performance indicators and efficient departmental operations.
  • Manage patient information in compliance with the Data Protection Act and organisational policies.
  • Facilitate personal and team development, promoting best practices in health & safety, and maintaining service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and effectively manage governance and risk.
  • Manage departmental stocks and finances in collaboration with the Finance Manager.
  • Conduct audits and implement action plans to address findings.
  • Lead marketing efforts for the imaging service, including attracting Consultants.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with external organisations to promote standardisation and best practice sharing.
  • Embed Clinical Governance and risk management in daily practice.

Who we're looking for

  • Degree or Diploma in Radiography.
  • HCPC Registration.
  • Substantial CPD in management and clinically relevant subjects.
  • Previous senior-level experience in an imaging department.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Competency in various diagnostic imaging skills supported by professional knowledge.
  • Proven success in partnering with Consultants to improve services and standards.
  • Financial management skills with a focus on quality care provision.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and regulatory bodies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Numerically and literarily adept.
  • Comfortable in a commercial healthcare environment while prioritising safety.
  • Proficient in IT, particularly MS Office suite.
  • Understanding of health policy and professional agendas.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and individuals with professionalism.
  • Flexible approach to work and schedules.
