Sanctuary Health is currently looking for a dedicated Band 7 Clinical/Counselling Psychological Therapist to work full-time in Oxford.

The pay rate for this locum Psychologist job is £28 to £30 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract. Hours are Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30

Duties:

  • To provide a qualified specialist psychological therapy service to patients served by the Cotswold House Adult Eating Disorder Service (Oxford), providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy to patients and families and offering advice, consultation and supervision on patients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to carers.
  • To work closely with the child and adolescent eating disorders services, as necessary. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the policies and procedures of the team and Trust.
  • To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development, and research within the area covered by the service.

Requirements of the Psychologist:

  • EITHER Doctoral level training in clinical/counselling psychology including specific models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies, and lifespan developmental psychology AND current registration with the HCPC as a practitioner psychologist OR a mental health qualification in conjunction with a postgraduate diploma in CBT and associated accreditation (e.g., NMC, HCPC, BABCP).
  • Skills in complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention and management and working with mental health difficulties across the lifespan.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS/HCPC (or other relevant professional bodies as appropriate)
  • Desirable criteria: Experience of working in a service with adults with eating disorders, and in delivering evidence-based treatments, particularly CBT-ED. Training and knowledge of evidence-based treatments for eating disorders.
