The Role:

As a Ward Manager, you will oversee the operational management and leadership of the ward, ensuring the provision of high-quality nursing care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing daily clinical and operational leadership to uphold exceptional care standards consistently.
  • Acting as a positive role model and practicing evidence-based care to facilitate optimum clinical outcomes for service users.
  • Collaborating with service user care teams to facilitate effective admission/discharge planning.
  • Establishing robust communication systems to ensure continuity of care and liaising with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Empowering staff to deliver person-centered care of the highest quality.
  • Fostering a learning culture and encouraging reflective practice among staff.
  • Implementing and maintaining rigorous care standards and risk management strategies.

We're Seeking Candidates With:

  • RMN/RNLD nursing qualification with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively managing wards or large staff teams.
  • Mentorship in Practice (MIP) qualification or a willingness to obtain one.
  • Availability to participate in the on-call rota.
