The salary for this permanent Waking Night Support Worker job is £19,656 per annum.

Shift Pattern:

  • 36 hours per week

Duties:

  • Ensuring the day-to-day provision of a high-quality support programme to substance misusing clients’, families and the community
  • Engage effectively with the client group
  • Prepare and distribute medication to clients
  • Meet the needs of premises/property security
  • Liaise effectively and cooperatively with colleagues
  • Undertake regular training and supervision sessions in-house and externally
  • Comply with policies, procedures and terms and conditions
  • Carry out all tasks with professionalism and in accordance with policies particularly those on Equal and Diversity and Confidentiality
  • Any other duties and responsibilities expressed and implied which arise from the nature and character of the post within the Organisation
  • Light cleaning duties
  • Ensure clients safety is maintained and monitored over night
  • Update client files with observations and changes of clients mood and behaviour on a nightly basis
  • Email observations to the support and therapy team of any changes of clients mood and behaviour on a nightly basis
  • Print out emailed observations and information and placed in the support book ready for morning handover
  • Archiving and maintaining the archive files both paper and electronic
  • Follow instructions and handed over information from support staff

Requirements of the Waking Night Support Worker:

  • A solution focused, compassionate Support Worker
  • Have completed the induction process
  • Be prepared to work towards NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care
  • Have good time keeping and attendance
  • Have good general and overall conduct and presentation
