Main Duties:
- The role is in Acute and Pre-school and requires someone with dysphagia experience and ideally experience in NNU to carry out assessments and review current children on the caseload.
- MDT working in the team with children with complex needs who are seen as part of the MDT for initial assessments and therapy.
- Initial assessment clinics are offered once a month with 3 children allocated to a clinic: language delay, social communication difficulties, speech sounds, language disorder.
- Required to travel to nurseries to review children/set up packages of care.
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist/SLT:
- Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration
- Recent UK/NHS post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist
