Job Type & Hours: Locum ongoing contract, full-time hours

Pay Rate: £25 per hour (assignment rate)

Main Duties: 

  • To support the holistic assessment, diagnosis and intervention of children and young people according to agreed SLT packages of care and pathways. (Must have highly developed negotiation and interpersonal skills when working with professionals, children and young people within a community environment)
  • Managing a mixed and complex caseload across a number of settings including Early years settings and clients’ homes
  • Speech and Language Therapy intervention to children and families in community settings, such as Clinics, Child Development Centres, education settings and client’s homes

Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist/SLT:

  • Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration
  • Recent UK/NHS post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • Evidence of recent relevant CPD activities in specialist area, e.g. ASD , dysphagia, fluency, SLI
