Job Description:

Join our esteemed team at a state-of-the-art hospital in Nottinghamshire. We are currently seeking a Senior Cath Lab Nurse to bolster our award-winning cardiology department.

At our facility, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside renowned cardiology specialists in a dynamic and supportive environment. With our ongoing expansion plans, including the integration of vascular and structural procedures, as well as an increase in cardiac surgery, we aim to establish ourselves as the premier cardiology department in the Midlands.

Our recent achievements include becoming Europe's leading center for PFO closures, thanks to our cutting-edge facilities and dedicated team. Additionally, we've introduced a new ITU department to facilitate more complex cardiac procedures and have implemented one of the largest stroke prevention programs in the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and support to our cardiology team
  • Assist with complex interventional cardiology procedures
  • Support non-invasive cardiology services
  • Ensure high standards of care across various departments
  • Prepare operating theaters and equipment for procedures
  • Mentor junior staff

Qualifications:

  • NMC registered Nurse with no restrictions on practice
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience
  • Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab

Desirable:

  • Formal cardiac qualifications
  • ALS trained or willing to undertake the course
  • Pre-assessment background
  • Previous scrub experience, EPS Ablation would be advantageous
