The salary for this role is £42,500 - £47,040 per annum, depending on experience.
Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Theatre Practitioner:
- Conducts thorough patient preparation and procedural explanation.
- Administers anaesthesia and meticulously monitors physiological parameters throughout surgery.
- Ensures meticulous setup of anaesthetic equipment prior to procedures.
- Collaborates seamlessly with the surgical team to optimise patient care.
- Demonstrates swift and effective response to surgical emergencies.
- Provides attentive post-operative care and monitoring.
- Maintains precise documentation of anaesthetic procedures and patient responses.
- Engages in continuous professional development to uphold expertise and stay abreast of advancements.
Relevant Qualifications and Experience of the Theatre Practitioner:
- Current HCPC/NMC Registration.
- Postgraduate experience in theatres in the UK.
- Minimum of 12 months anaesthetics experience.
- Completion of an anaesthetics course.
- Proficiency in preparing the anaesthetic room according to patient and anaesthetist requirements.
