Job Title: PERI Occupational Health Nurse
Location: London (primarily Battersea, with occasional work in Chambers Wharf and Acton)
Type: Permanent
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Salary: £36,000 per annum

Sanctuary Personnel are seeking a dedicated Occupational Health Nurse to join one of the UK’s leading Occupational Health organisations. As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in providing compassionate and professional clinical services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our clients. This position involves assessing and managing minor injuries and illnesses, implementing health and wellbeing initiatives, and collaborating with external organisations and healthcare professionals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct full OH/Treatment services aligned with client contracts, encompassing wellbeing assessments, health promotion, advice and education, health surveillance, safety-critical medicals, and D&A testing.
  • Offer professional advice, support, and guidance to clients.
  • Assess new clients presenting to Occupational Health and determine their fitness for the relevant job roles.
  • Provide clinical assessments for individuals with minor illnesses and injuries.
  • Assist the OH Manager in advising, monitoring, and evaluating the clinical practices of the OH team.
  • Conduct health surveillance activities.
  • Maintain clinical assessment skills in accordance with best practices.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (Part 1) with previous Occupational Health experience preferred.
  • Experience within Accident & Emergency (A&E) settings.
  • Thorough understanding of occupational health and employment legislation.
  • IT literacy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills, capable of managing workload efficiently and working to strict deadlines.
  • Confidence, assertiveness, tact, diplomacy, and empathy in client interactions.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own transport required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
  • Diploma in Occupational Health preferred.

Certifications:

  • Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
