Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team in Sutton Coldfield, as a Staff Nurse (Band 5) specialising in CAMHS Eating Disorders. As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in supporting young people on their journey to recovery from eating disorders. Your responsibilities will include providing clinical care to inpatients based on prescribed treatment plans, utilising evidence-based practices. Collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, employing a patient-centered approach, and involving families in care planning are key aspects of this role.

Key Accountabilities:
Clinical:
- Adhere to NICE guidelines for the treatment of eating disorders and Junior Marzipan guidelines.
- Follow the requirements of the Mental Health Act and Children Act.
- Contribute to highly specialist assessments of eating disorders in young people.
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients.
- Assist in developing, co-facilitating, and staffing therapeutic groups.
- Maintain respectful relationships with carers and family members.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings.
- Manage the implementation of therapeutic meal provision.
- Safely store and administer medicines and clinical equipment.
- Demonstrate awareness of safeguarding principles in dealings with young people and their families.
Requirements:
Educational Qualifications:
- RMN, and nurse-specific training.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
Skills:
- Skills in clinical risk assessment.
- Ability to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to ensure safe practice.
- Ability to contribute towards colleague induction, mentorship, and support of other colleagues.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Mental Health Act and Children Act.
- Knowledge of NICE guidelines for the treatment of eating disorders.
- Knowledge of Junior Marzipan guidelines for the treatment of eating disorders.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding legislation and practice.
- Knowledge of eating disorder treatments (desirable).
Experience:
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office products.
- Experience in coordinating the various contributions of other team members (desirable).
- Experience with an electronic patient record system (desirable).
