Sanctuary Personnel are seeking an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist to join our client's Acute Speech and Language Therapy team at a leading hospital in the UK, recognised for its quality care.

In the two decades since their Rehabilitation Centre's inception, they've garnered international acclaim for their exceptional rehabilitation programmes, positively impacting numerous patient lives. Their Speech and Language Therapy team plays an integral role in their holistic approach to care, operating across their acute medical and Neurological rehabilitation wards.

As an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist, you'll demonstrate a strong background in acute and critical care settings. Their caseload encompasses a diverse range of medical and surgical presentations across neuro-surgical, spinal, oncology, general medical, and critical care units. Collaboration within multidisciplinary teams is central to their practice. Additionally, you'll participate in the SLT Acute Network, engaging in discussions on evidence-based practice advancements and quality improvement initiatives.

Shift Pattern: 

  • Full time: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hour per week
  • 09:00 am – 17:00 pm

Your qualifications and experience:

  • Professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Substantial experience in an acute adult hospital setting, including Critical Care
  • Proficiency in tracheostomy management within a critical care environment
  • Successful completion of Level 3 videofluoroscopy competencies/MBSIMP
  • Competence in FEES is advantageous, with training provided if necessary
