The Opportunity:

Sanctuary Personnel are currently seeking a Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join our client's esteemed team. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and professional expertise to our multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an autonomous speech and language therapist within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct assessments to understand the impact of communication on daily life and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with individuals and their support networks to address communication barriers.
  • Develop and implement management plans and rehabilitation strategies, seeking specialist input as necessary.
  • Deliver training to staff and support networks.
  • Contribute to service and organisational development initiatives.

About You:

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Accreditation in Dysphagia Competencies.
  • Specialised knowledge of SaLT models and interventions in Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).
  • Competency in managing complex dysphagia within an adult neurology caseload.
  • Minimum of 4 years' qualified experience, including complex case management.
