The salary for this permanent Therapy Lead job is £40,000 - £52,000 per annum (depending on experience).

Duties:

  • Leading a small team of therapists with a range of different theoretical backgrounds
  • Be responsible for the oversight and provision of outpatient assessment and treatment for children and young people seeking both 1:1 and group therapy with our service
  • Oversee our private CAMHS outpatient therapy service provided to patients ensuring they receive appropriate care and treatment
  • Be involved in the continued review and development of our private CAMHS outpatient therapy service and to ensure that the service meets the relevant compliance standards
  • Ensure the effective management of the private CAMHS outpatient therapy team, inclusive of managerial supervision, the management of annual leave, sickness, annual Performance Development Reviews, and monthly team meetings
  • Be responsible for organising and prioritising own clinical workload (working at least 50% of their contracted hours as clinical face-to-face hours)
  • Encourage and support the development of multi-disciplinary team work within the service
  • Join monthly Clinical Governance Committee meetings and provide a report on any progress updates, feedback, or development where relevant
  • Ensure that own clinical supervision is accessed in accordance with professional registration

Requirements of the Therapy Lead:

  • A motivated and experienced fully BACP/BABCP/UKCP/HCPC accredited therapist to lead our private outpatient therapy provision for children and young people
  • Previous training and experience of supervising others is essential
  • Post-qualification experience of working with children and young people with a range of mental health issues
  • Be trained and have demonstrable experience in working with at least one relevant specialist modality for this client group, for example DBT, ADHD, EMDR etc
  • Be available to support the Therapy Business Manager with specialist projects and clinical guidance where required
  • Good communication skills and a flexible approach are essential
