Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Team Leader to work full time based in a Semi-Independent Living Setting in Ilford.

The salary for this permanent Team Leader job is up to £33,990

Main Duties:

  • To assist in the development of new techniques and approaches to care provisions
  • To liaise and attend multi agency meetings with external agencies
  • Encourage development of individual interests and attitudes
  • To work with high risk / need clients
  • To ensure safeguarding and protecting the welfare of each young person.
  • Establish and maintain positive and trusting relationships with the young people that will promote their sense of security
  • Provide firm, consistent, and fair boundaries in respect of their behaviour
  • Ensure that appropriate medical help is provided in cases of illness and accidents
  • Promote the development of a healthy lifestyle for Young People
  • To complete and monitor risk assessments and arrange for annual maintenance and fire inspections
  • To assist and support Young People through the process of leaving care
  • To support Young People in develop their full educational and vocational attainment
  • Observe and assess the behaviour of Young People
  • To engage in and supervise care practices, creating an accepting environment conducive to the positive personal development of each Young Person
  • To undertake in planning for and preparation of Young People for admission or discharge
  • This may include professional negotiations to ensure that the Young Person transfers to an environment stable for that individual and one where he/she can cope or be assisted to cope
  • To case record all interactions in accordance with Evidence Based Practice using the recording database

Requirements of this job:

  • To hold a full driving license and have access to a vehicle
  • • To hold a QCF/NVQ3 award in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or Caring
  • for Children and Young People or equivalent.
  • Ability to show leadership skills
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Direct involvement in Ofsted inspections
